Divemaster Jesus "Chucho" Alberto Vivas was born on the nearby Yucatan Peninsula, and after 6 months moved to Cozumel with his family. He has spent the past 29 years becoming an expert on everything about the island, and especially about the waters surrounding it. He became a certified diver at age 15 and a divemaster soon after. Chucho is intimately familiar with all aspects of Cozumel diving and knows his way around the many reefs, walls and caves better than most people know the way to the corner store.
